We came across Pascal Dieunidou and Jacques Castany's wines after participating in a Decanter Magazine Côtes du Roussillon Villages tasting where their L'Edre won the top award. We were quick to get in touch and visit their modest cellar. Since 2002 they have bought up small parcels in prime sites all around the village of Vingrau. This does not make their job easy when working the vines, but means the wines are truly outstanding in terms of balance and minerality. Bettane and Desseauve recently named their L'Edre among their top wines in Roussillon. These are distinctly modern wines but most importantly they show their sense of place and are a joy to drink.
