Grüner Veltliner | Johan Vineyards

This Grüner is made entirely from estate-grown grapes. Dag and Dan prefer their Grüner on the richer and riper side, which works out because the site allows the grapes to ripen in this style, despite the modest alcohol. The grapes were crushed and destemmed before being given a four-day cold soak prior to pressing, and aged in oak for 10 months. The result is clean and lively, full of citrus, herb, pear, and slight honeyed notes.
