Marufo Tinto | Márcio Lopes

Marufo is a traditional indigenous variety to the Douro, often planted in the centre of vineyards and used as a blending grape or in field-blends. Márcio felt it needed its moment in the sun, so started producing a single-varietal bottling of it; it’s wonderfully fresh for the region, with red cherry and bright berry fruit flavours and a hint of garrigue.
