This wine comes from a solera started in 1982 and is aged in foudres for one year before bottling. Once bottled it spends around 2 years in contact with the lees and is dosed at 3 g/L. A complex and fascinating Champagne, with a fresh and forward nose that displays distinct minerality, earthiness, and smoke. The palate is lively and fresh, yet finishes long. “One of the most arresting champagnes to have come my way for quite a while” according to Jancis Robinson.
