Pinka is the river that runs along the border between Austria and Hungary, passing the Eisenberg in the southern Burgenland. The vineyards on the Eisenberg are renowned for their steep slopes and green schist and iron rich soils, which are well suited to the Olaszrizling grape – also known as Welschriesling. The resulting wine is highly aromatic, mouthfilling and concentrated.
