Old Vine Robola of Kefalonia | Sarris Winery

Robola is a rare white grape, mainly found on the Ionian islands to the west of Greece. Panos Sarris inherited vineyards on the steep slopes of Mount Enos, cooled by sea breeze and by the forest of black pine just above. They are planted with 60 year old un-grafted vines on limestone soils. He works gently in the winery letting the Mediterranean character, tempered by the coastal influence, shine through in this wonderfully food friendly white.
