Tabuérniga is a unique microclimate in a valley near the historic town of Labastida. There are records of viticulture here going back more than 1,300 years. Telmo and Pablo had their eye on the area since working nearby at Remelluri in the 80s and they finally had the chance to rent and then purchase several lieus-dits in 2010. The Tabuérniga plot, planted with a field blend of Tempranillo, some Graciano, Mazuelo and around 10 other varietals, is producing wine with incredible finesse and balance. It’s early days, who knows where it may develop as they continue to work with and improve the site.
