Victors Vineyard Zinfandel | Precedent

Grapes are sourced from a historic vineyard on the southern bank of the Mokelumne River.  The site had been neglected for many years, the oldest vines are one hundred years old, it’s a painstaking process to nurse the vines back to health and balance. The east side of Lodi has long been known for spice driven Zinfandel that belies the heavy stereotype. Winemaker Nathan Kandler says: Victors highlights the savoury side of Zinfandel. There is no shortage of bright red fruit, but the brambly, pungent spice that first attracted me to the variety year ago asserts itself.
