De Keur Grenache | Ex Animo

David and Jeanette assumed these younger vines would produce fruit destined for rosé in their youth. However, winemaker Lukas van Loggerenberg was adamant the quality of the site and the clones were far too good for that. The result is a charming Grenache with a lifted, perfumed nose and a fresh, generous finish.

The label reflects the meaning of Ex Animo—“from the heart.” Based on a commissioned artwork titled New Wine by Lenka Kuhn, it features a line drawing of a human heart formed from vine elements. As the vineyard matures, the label will evolve too, with new components added each year until the final version appears on the 2026 vintage.
