Perpetual Solera Chardonnay | Scar of the Sea

A fascinating bottling comprising 75% solera base, grown between 2014-2023 and aged together in 500-litre barrels, and 25% Chardonnay from the Rancho Arroyo Grande Vineyard, aged for 18 months in 225-litre barrels. The two components are blended immediately before bottling. Decadent yet still lifted, the nose is full of hazelnut, brioche and apples, while the palate is toasty and citric, with bracing acidity cutting through the richness.
