David has a deep personal connection to this wine as his great-grandparents once lived on this vineyard. Grown on a small 1.3-hectare site in the Ronca de Mazalba valley, this Garnacha comes from 40-year-old vines planted on soils rich in granite and quartz. It is common to find large galet-like stones here, similar to those in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. This plot is characterised by its steep slopes (reaching 20%) and diverse vegetation, including oak trees and Mediterranean herbs. Grapes are selected berry by berry, with gentle foot crushing to extract flavours delicately. Quantities are tiny, as you may expect. Only one 500L barrel was produced in 2023.
