Ikewen comes from various vineyards surrounding the town of San Mateo. The vines are up to 90 years old and lay on volcanic soils that are sandy with a proportion of clay. They sites are north-east facing and have an altitude of 1300 meters. The soils provide a very mineral profile, a characteristic of Gran Canarian wine.
