Pannobile, a combination of “Pannonian” and “nobility,” is a group of nine wineries in the northern Burgenland village of Gols, who came together in 1994 to exchange ideas and raise the profile of the region’s wines. A rich, layered wine, with black and blue fruits, cracked pepper and velvety tannins.
